Age Cheats : Referees’ Committee Could be Complicit – Mba

The NFF Referee’s Committee may have been complicit or negligent in the matter of age cheats and unqualified persons passed fit and approved to officiate NPFL matches in the past, former Referee, Linus Mba has suggested.

In a chat with footballlive.ng on the little or non recognition of Nigerian Referees on the continent;for tournaments or Awards, Mba, who also serves as consultant to the NFF on Refereeing matters, highlighted age cheating concerns as one of many such reasons why Nigerian match officials fail to impress.

No Nigerian match official was recognized in the CAF Awards shortlist for Referees on the continent.
