PS4 Pro release date looms, as new games CONFIRMED for launch
PS4 PRO has a growing list of 4K games, as EA throws its support behind the console ahead of the November release date.
PS4 Pro just got a major boost ahead of its November release date, as EA confirms that Titanfall 2 will contain Pro support on-disc.
With the PS4 Pro's November 10 release date looming, Titanfall 2 developer Respawn said the upcoming shooter would have PS4 Pro support ahead of the console's launch.
Titanfall 2 will come with PS4 Pro support built-in, which means players will see the benefits of the PS4 Pro on the console's November 10 release date.
While it won't run in native 4K, Titanfall 2 will feature a more stable frame rate on PS4 Pro, as well as an improved resolution when it launches on October 28.
The full list of PS4 Pro compatible games includes:
- Battlefield 1
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
- Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered
- Days Gone
- Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
- Dishonored 2
- Farpoint (PlayStation VR)

4K TVs will see PS4 Pro games running at up to 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels, also known as “2160p”) resolution. On HDTVs, games will run at 1080p.
Microsoft believes the PS4 Pro - which features 4.2 teraflops of GPU power - won't be able to handle true 4K and that the Xbox One Scorpio is aiming higher.
However, Sony is also trying their best to stress that the PS4 Pro is not a new generation of console and won’t make your current PS4 games obsolete.
Titanfall 2, meanwhile, will have a full single-player mode, as well as new pilot abilities, weapons and more.
It was also confirmed that Titanfall 2 DLC would be free on all platforms, although the game is expected to contain microtransactions for cosmetic items such as skins.
