Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has scooped a Guinness World Record for achieving 181 clean sheets in the Premier League – the most made by any keeper. The 34-year-old achieved the majority of his shut-outs with Chelsea – the club where he made over 486 appearances from 2004 untiL 2015.

The former Czech Republic international also holds the record for winning the most Premier League Golden Gloves with four – an award made to the keeper who achieves the most clean sheets in a league season.
Cech shares the accolade with Manchester City keeper Joe Hart, who has achieved the same number in the Premier League. However, Hart is currently on season-long loan at Torino.
Guinness recently released the 2017 version of their book of world records, and also recognised some other notable football stars.
Everton’s Gareth Barry got the nod for the most league starts made with 580. Meanwhile, Leicester City got the gong for the largest rise in England’s top flight over consecutive seasons – the Foxes rose from 14th in 2014/15 to first in 2015/16.
