As the year runs out , we take a look back at the Top 20 LASU artist that rock our speakers trough out the year . Several big names have emerge and some have been tipped to do Big and better things in 2017. Here are the top 20 artist. This list was not compiled on a sole persons opinion but by the best Dj’s🎧  and Bloggers💻 of lasu,  it was  judge on the ff criteria   no of downloads ,Quality of songs  ,stage performance in lasu and general rank in popularity.

20. Jaay Sounds : Deserves to be higher on the list,but we are yet to be convinced , since he as just one  single to his name,Shayo produced by jaay sounds himself  is a song that would surely get you on your feet.He is also among the best producers on campus.

19.Ruuddy:  Ruuddy tha General. Ruuddy began the year in review with the release of “Am sorry” ft. SOS and later dropped MY Lasu  girlfriend ft. toobright. The two tracks were the most talked about songs in the first quarter of the year on the main campus .He was later featured on the NUESA LASU Cypher. His hardwork also earned him a nomination for LASU choice awards and Lagos state entrepreneurship student award ( LESA 2016) We expect a bigger year from the singer cum rapper in 2017connect him @Ruuddybeatz on IG.

18. Supa stiles: Stiles who debuted in 2015 with his  smoking song titled "OMO LASU". He is a young talented rapper, popularly know as Supa Stiles.  He later jumped on  the Viral Track By 19 years old American Act Desiigner's Panda, which he titlrd his own Para .This Proud Lagos State University Student has no chill. IG @Supa_stilez. 

17.OG Dams: OG dams is the first female to appear on our list. She’s a great talent that should be graced. She has her own version of YCEE’s hit single JAGABAN, In the second half of 2016 she dropped her track titled JEJE  which is a song that should make it to your everyday playlist.

16. Wale slain : Wale slain is an artist that will always give you a banger of a song , his “Pomi yad”  which was produced by Diahard  showed us what the young talented guy gat for us.

15. Gabby: Gabby trilled us in 2016 with the release of  his Rap game ft Tk tha rapper produced by s'sonic ,he later dropped Dab for the gods which was  widely accepted by the entire campus.Rap game is a song  i  bet you will play on repeat if you know good music. The talend  Kvng Gabby is set to have a great year in 2017.

14. Kunle clapper: Kunle clapper a 200 level student of Lagos State University studying History and International Relations,he is a recording artist, song writer and performer. In 2016 he featured naija star Seriki on the track titled shut up,Lock up .He is an energetic and versatile artist. He creates his own style of music from the already existing afrobeat and afro hip hop genre. His music also appeals to the young at heart due to the dynamism of the beat. His performance not only go well with his attendees but also leave them wanting more.

13. Mayour G : Mayour is signed under the umbrella of IC Media , he is one of the best singers and performing act on campus. In 2016 , he dropped MAAmi and Olamide’s ABULE SOWO Cover which he titled OMO LASU..  This Song is still the Most downloaded on OjoroPlanet’s Blog where the Song Premiered.

12. Rated: Oluwatobi Michael Imoreh, popularly Known by the stage name Ratedlives is an hardworking Artist, UnderRated buh Talented, He has over 4 tracks to his name, Gbe SunMomi, Je Kan Mo, Carolina Go and New School Jagaban which he features another lasuite DEBOH.

11. Morgan tha rapper :

Morgan aka MR atenu for his track AT&T which was an  impressive work on the soon to be computer scientist  part . At the beginning of the year morgan featured twistberry and em blaize  in the track he titled “Eyan Lasu” which is a remake of Olamide’s hit Eyan Mayweather the track remains one of the most recognised song on every Campus. Other tracks of morgan are ife adaba..

10.BMS: Badder man sly aka BMS is the most fluent rapper have listen to in lasu and he showed us what he was capable of in the NUESA cypher and he followed that up with the release of” "its nothing”.He his also on the LASU Cypher2016. This badder man rapper is someone you can bank on to make a mark and a step forward in the music industry.. 9. Deboh: Another Hardworking Artist on my list, deserves to be higher on this list but the competition is very fierce, He has a track to his name and so many unreleased projects, He features on Rated’s Carolina Go and New School Jagaban.. The two are better as a Duo, just saying..

8. Cadd 9 : 

They are the best music group in lasu  ,the group is made up of  their works so far as gotten them nominations for awards , they also made the official theme song of LASU CHOICE AWARDS2016.

7.Sugar pipe: Sugar pipe AKA yu’zuf his arguably the best rappers in lasu , he pilot the NUESA lasu cypher which is the schools best cypher according to ratings by faculty cypher’s .e later released one of the song of the year in lasu titled Campus love.

The track is a type we call a professional hit track from the  lyrics  the beat and mixing ,the productions  it is one of the best produced song in lasu in2016. Greater things are expected from the now graduate and former president of the science and technology education student association . He is an artist to be reckorn with in the industry. other tracks from sugar pipe are fakosi and waddup.

6. Tk tha rapper : TK  is often regarded as the best lyricist in lasu, he has won several RAP battle including  the 2016 MTN Campus invasion RAP battle which featured several rapppers on Campus  after  he was runner up in the RAP 49JA rap attack competition which was hosted by IC Media in 2015 which was later won by Prodigy.He Released RAPPERHOLIC which he said he got his inspiration from the Legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti, TK has Seven Feature to his Names, We hope he can build on his 2016 achievement in 2017 Tk_ tha_rapper.

5. Bosh: Bosh Tasleem is number 5 on our list “BOSHA” has he calls himself is known for his club like songs, You wanna dance Bosha is the Guy, He has two track to his name.. his hit on campus titled WHY, produced by ECHO, he also worked with Jay Pizzle on his first track titled “LATER”

4. Twistberry: The so called (Queen of rap) Nicki minaj of lasu is often compared to cyntia morgan and nicki minaj because of her versitle style of music and her popular slang “Mushy” She buzzed our hears all through the year by dropping several chart topping  tracks from fast gyal wich trended online  to  Lord of raba which  was at one time the most played song and downloaded  song on campus Exclusive to ojoroplanet and maybreed. s

he later dropped Fada fada cover and her own version of the Who you epp by olamide she was later featured on “All eyes on me” by Sunky .She is also one of the most promising act in Alimosho  LG of lagos state,  We expect more dope and hit tracks from her in the coming year  and perhaps a recording deal soon because this girl is super talented  “Mushy” .

3. Yung Snieky : Yung Sneiky snieky won the heart of every LASUITE after he dropped the cover to KISS DANIEL’s  Hit Single WOJU, which was received arguably with open arms by  every Students.. He Proceeded to  drop the visuals which was directed by Director  Imagintion of IC Media and sneiky has not looked back since then ,He dropped MY LADY In 2015 and 2016 He dropped “GABAZEH” for the Streets featuring Elegushi spender Crooner Olalekside.. Gabazeh is a Street slang meaning Money

2. Sauce: This is the only hard core rapper I recognise in lasu. Sauce debuted in the music industry when he dropped HUSTLE and he later dropped ALAKADA and his own version of Olamide’s who you epp. He is recognized for his passionate lyrics and punch lines in his music ,he tops our list of hardcore rappers . He his perhaps the second coming of CDQ who is a LASU Product. The only thing stopping sauce from being one of naija top rappers is time and I see 2017 has a big year for the rapper..

1. Esky: 

A 300lv student of Histoty and interenation relations . A multi platinum selling award winning Afro-beat dance hall world artist,who rose to prominence in his first year whaen he relased a cover of davido's  owo ni koko titled iya ni koko  then became  Student Choice and favorite when he relased  Ghen Ghen tin. He released Go low recently produced by Jay pizzle.  Esky is not just a recording artist but also one that performs with full life and vigor , his  known for his energetic performance. Rumor has it that he's affiliated to Davido's HKN Gang... just saying

We give special recognition to prodigy,  Smallzz,  Richiey, CDQ_Olowo, Sunky of life. Base 1  who are all product making waves across westafrica.

Other artist that did not make our top 20 list  buh should  be watched out for in 2017  are Em blaize, west dee ,Dadaboi  ,SoS ,Tobbyhno,  .
